Sandra Rosier is a senior tax and finance leader with over 20 years of experience delivering business-oriented tax and legal advice. Previously, she was the Global Head of Tax at BentallGreenOak, a leading real estate investment and property management company headquartered in New York with offices in 12 countries and $85 billion in assets under management.
Sandra also held a senior tax role at CPP Investments ($525 billion in fund assets) as tax lead for multiple investment classes, including private equity and capital markets. She has worked at a big four accounting firm and at top tier law firms in Canada and the U.S.
She obtained her JD from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Common Law and clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for the Honourable Justice Ian Binnie.
Sandra created Rosier Tax Advisory to bring her deep global tax experience to the marketplace and fill a gap in the standard suite of tax services available to organizations that invest globally.
She has a proven track record of demonstrating strategic leadership on enterprise-wide issues, outside the box thinking, executive communication skills and project management. With a stellar reputation among her peers as a seasoned tax professional, she is uniquely qualified to understand the real-world, big picture tax considerations, frictions and opportunities that are germane to investors, asset managers and funds that must confront the headwinds of an increasingly competitive and regulated global landscape.
As a thought leader on Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness, Sandra is active on the Black North Initiative’s Mentorship Committee. She is a non-board member of St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation’s audit committee and sits on the Board of the West Toronto Community Legal Services clinic. She resides in Toronto’s Riverdale neighbourhood with her husband, two kids and two Covid cats.
